Why We Built This Site
Georgia gives the public broad access to many records under the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. 50-18-70 et seq., but Tattnall County record access still depends on choosing the right custodian. The Clerk of Superior Court maintains Superior, State, and Juvenile court records. Probate Court handles wills, estates, guardianships, oaths, and marriage licenses. Magistrate Court handles small claims, dispossessories, warrants, and preliminary hearings. The Sheriff's Office manages jail and law-enforcement records, while the County Clerk handles Board of Commissioners records such as agendas, minutes, ordinances, and open-government coordination.
